Giving back to the communities where we live and work
AIG recognizes its business performs better when the communities where it operates prosper too.
Through strategic donations and volunteer efforts, AIG is taking important steps to build a culture of belonging—both within the workplace as well as across a diverse range of communities globally.
Such efforts span and cover a wide range of cause areas, from supporting natural disaster relief efforts around the world to helping underserved communities access healthcare services, and more.
In addition, AIG supports the generosity of colleagues passionate about a cause or interested in helping those in need. Through its Matching Grants Program, AIG will match colleagues’ charitable contributions 2:1, up to $10,000 per year.
By giving back, AIG hopes it will inspire colleagues and others to do the same. Not just because it’s needed, but also because it’s the right thing to do.
Priya Gopinath partners with a local organization to provide tutoring for students. By having her donations to the organization matched 2:1 through the AIG Matching Grants Program, her commitment has gone even further.
Teaching Financial Literacy to the Next Generation
Growing up, Dr. Sunil Shanmuganathan watched his mother skillfully juggle the family finances while raising him and his two siblings. Today, he applies those financial literacy lessons to his volunteer work with students as part of AIG's partnership with Junior Achievement Malaysia.
Creating Positive Impact
Sharonda Marshall supports causes important to her using AIG’s Matching Grants Program, which matches her donations 2:1, and Volunteer Time Off Program, which provides 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer.
