Each year, the AIG Women’s Open tees up an unparalleled demonstration of golfing excellence, bringing together the world’s most skilled athletes to compete for the Championship and a chance to make golf history.

Since 2019, AIG has partnered with The R&A to transform the AIG Women’s Open into one of the most influential championships and raise the global profile of professional women’s golf. AIG and The R&A have more than tripled the prize money to US$10 million, played the Championship on some of golf’s most challenging and iconic courses traditionally reserved for men’s championship events and invested in world-class training facilities to enhance the experience of the players.

In recognition of the stature of the Championship, in 2025, the AIG Women’s Open  received its second consecutive LPGA Gold Driver Award for Best Player Experience as voted on by the players.
