Requests for new agency or agent onboarding, new appointments, or linking agents to existing producer codes, may be initiated proactively by the broker or via incoming submission reservations.
Prerequisite
Agency or agent must have valid and appropriate license with State Department of Insurance for which appointment is sought.
Changes of name or address of existing agency or agent appointment.
Prerequisite
Agency or agent to have changed such information with the State Department of Insurance prior to submitting amendment request to AIG.
Termination of agency or agent appointment or deactivate producer code/agent ID. This disables producer across all AIG systems.
Prerequisite
Documentation from Agency, Agent, or AIG Field contact indicating reason for appointment termination.
Minimum Requirements
Producers seeking new appointment with AIG must meet the following minimum requirements:
Agency and agent(s) must pass background checks
Agency must sign producer agreement
Agency must commit to $1M minimum booked GPW in year 1 (Commercial Lines only)
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Requests
Requests related to M&A activity require additional information to ensure appointments accurately reflect entity new structure.
How to submit requests related to M&A activity: Existing agency partners can access the Producer Management Portal via myAIG to submit the following information:
Bill of sale
Purchase agreement
W-9
E&O declaration page
(Optional) M&A supporting information (e.g., company official announcement, press release, news alerts).
