President & Chief Executive Officer, AIG

Eric Andersen is President & Chief Executive Officer of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a leading global general insurance company. Mr. Andersen joined AIG in February 2026 and assumed the role of CEO on June 1, 2026. He is a member of the AIG Board of Directors.

During his three-decade career in insurance prior to AIG, Mr. Andersen held senior executive roles at Aon. Most recently he was a member of Aon’s Executive Committee and a strategic advisor to the CEO. Previously, he served as President of Aon, CEO of Aon Benfield, and CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Americas. During Mr. Andersen’s tenure, he led global programs that delivered meaningful impact for Aon’s clients, strengthened enterprise performance and contributed to the company’s overall financial results.

Mr. Andersen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colgate University and holds an MBA from Fordham University. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Colgate University and on the Board of Directors of Covenant House New Jersey.
